  1. Did you say "…Misen comes with lifetime sharpening"???? I’m assuming for all knives? 🙂

Do you know if that’s only for purchases made in the US? Or would that include also from around the world (e.g. Canada)?

  2. Got my paring knife for free when they screwed up the order and accidentally sent me one instead of the chef’s knife, so winner winner chicken dinner. Misen in for the win!

  3. Had the same issue with mine, but once I re sharpened it on my 1000 grit stone and stroped the edge I like it better then my Victorinox.

  4. cutting performance can be improved by reducing the edge angle, thinning out the primary grind and not lastly: learning how to sharpen. "factory sharpness" should not be a standard to aspire to. I like hte victorinox paring knives. Inexpensive and superb thickness. The Nogent looks good. Similar to the Opinel paring knives. I still prefer Vics for the price and the plastic handles which i don’t have to worry about

  5. Great and honest comparison! I like how you eliminated one knife quickly and didn’t offer up a glowing review for all of them. Helpful for selecting a new knife. Thank you.

  6. Dude, it’s not a roll. What you described is a burr. And you don’t remove a burr with a stone. Using a stone is what causes the burr. It’s not a problem. It’s expected. It’s part of sharpening a knife! How are you doing knife reviews if you don’t even know what a burr is? And you could have just stropped the knife right on the cutting board a couple times to take the burr right off if nothing else. And yes, of course it did affect the test. The knife could not have been sharp if it had a burr… I mean, good luck on the channel. I really do wish you well in the endeavor, but please, either learn knife basics or produce different content. Why would you even want to enter the knife sphere? Do yourself a favor and watch a few burrfection videos before you make a fool of yourself again in your next knife review. Sorry to be a dick, but seriously, what made you think you could make an authoritative knife review? Not bothering to take a little effort to familiarize yourself with a topic before you make a video is lazy and insulting to your viewers.

  7. Hey everyone! Any knives you would like to see on battle of the blades? New recipe videos are coming as well. Let us know what you think 🙂

FYI, update, it wasn’t edge rollover but a bur left over from sharpening. Ran it on my 1000 grit whetstone and it took the bur right off.

  8. Can’t stand a thick blade on a paring knife. If I need something with a stronger blade, I use a 5" petty knife.

  9. I like the music as an opener/B-Roll/closing. It’s not appropriate during your commentary. I enjoyed the video and will probably get a misen for my mum. Thank you!
