  1. I only have 2 wooden spoons. Can’t remember where I got them but I use them for everything. I like one better than the other because I like the way the handle feels but at least I have one other if needed ha. And I always lay one across the pot when I boil anything so nothing boils over.

  2. I love Pam!!! She forgot that one wooden spoon though….. the one so many mothers walked the heck out of their kids hands with… 😅 brings back funny memories.

  3. I’m mostly only use wooden and that’s because they don’t melt like plastic does they don’t break easily they don’t stick to anything they’re an easy clean and they are just so much better when cooking like I will only use wooden now

  4. Great info. Glad your having fun w the editing! For the sake of us who get motion sickness I hope you try something w less spinning and flipping next time lol!

  5. They are porous, I feel like they could also possibly harbor bacteria as well as other food odors (I guess depending on the type of wood). So from time to time I use a capful of bleach in my dishwater. Oh and I do air dry and oil them. Great video here, and such a good topic to speak on. Thanks.

  6. Pam you have a beautiful personality I loves your information and tips for cooking.I loves your channel and have Learned a lot from you.

  7. I was told you cant truely clean wood. Bacteria is still on there with the soap . Ill try the vinegar and im guessing the oil keeps them from cracking.

  8. A big perk of wood over plastic utensils – I’ve never had wood melt to my pan while I’m cooking!

  9. I have wooden utensils since the late 60’s early 70’s. I never let them sit in the sink ! The show was starring Graham Kerr. The Galloping Gourmet! They sold a whole set of utensils! I still use them too!❤❤

  10. Thanks Pam. Always wanted a set. Thanks also For giving us the important tips on how to care for them.

  11. Pour the water vinegar mix you use to clean the wooden utensils into the garbage disposal along with a bit of baking soda and you get two for one on your buck❤

  12. Mrs. Pam looks and sounds like her hugs 🤗 could make all the stresses of life just fade away.

  13. I love wooden utensils. Unfortunately, they don’t love me. LOL.

Oiling, careful hand washing, air drying, none of it works. They just break down or split no matter what I do. I’ve ended up with a mix of wood and nylon as a result.

I’m sure I’m doing something wrong, but I just can’t figure out what. 😆

  14. hmm here’s my comparison
better than normal utensil but require extra cleaning
    normal utensil is normal utensil

  15. Every wooden utensil that I have ever used, leaves a horrid taste in the food. It’s absolutely sickening to taste wood in your food.
